Flooding 2020
Following the devastating floods in February 2020 a number of the houses and businesses were ruined. It was devastating for the whole village.
As a school we spoke to the children who were directly involved and spoke about the effect it had had on them.
The children spoke about the sadness and the effect the flooding had had on them.
The children decided to make and delivered a gift to each house and business in our village.

Dance Festival
Ysgol Talhaiarn took part in a collaborative, intergenerational dance project that brought together primary school pupils, teachers and a creative dance practitioner and community members who belong to dance group for the 60 plus age group.
This was a project funded by EDAU.
The learners created two beautiful dances “Dreams” and “Treweryn”.
The dances were performed at the Conwy Dance Festival alongside a number of other local school. They were also invited to dance in the Daily Post Awards Ceremony.
Ysgol Talhaiarn became finalists for the community award.
It was an amazing experience and one we truly hope to participate in again once COVID restrictions are lifted.
Lanterns
This year the PTFA kindly donated lanterns for the children to build in school.
Due to COVID restrictions we were unable to go on the annual lantern walk but the lanterns are up in the windows around the village for all to enjoy.
