Main Focus Action Plan
The Eco committee is an ideal opportunity for our pupils to make decisions as part of Ysgol Talhaiarn and also to get more involved and be environmentally friendly. The Council benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers, because it provides opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings as well as influence decisions that are made about eco related issues.
Councillors are nominated through showing an interest in the subject and then through a voting system.
Councillors develop skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation. It is the responsibility of each Councillor to ensure that they express both their own views and the views of all the other pupils they represent.
Three main targets
Target 1 – Reduce the food waste at lunch time.
Target 2 – To remind everyone about the importance of drinking water and having healthy
Target 3. To recycle our waste.
Our achievements

We have bought new bins for every class.
We can recycle paper and plastic and we have an extra bin for general waste.
